Broadway, Maryville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe were already outgrowing our downtown space,\u201d explained Angela.&nbsp; Initially, she was not sure where they would find a new space to reopen the cafe, using her mobile kitchen to do pop-up events and borrowing Richy Kreme Donut\u2019s kitchen from time to time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe prayed for God to make a way for us to be beside each other,\u201d Charlie said. \u201cIt was all one big building when we got it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The entrepreneur couple divided the 8,000 square foot building to accomodate both the Cafe and the Flooring companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe best part is that now we have room to grow and plenty of parking,\u201d Charlie said, pointing out the cafe will ultimately be able to seat 60 people at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Cafe is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 10am until 4pm, serving lunch and full-service bakery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the move has also had some additional challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur biggest hurdle right now is the grease trap,\u201d Angela said.&nbsp; Installing the required equipment can cost as much as $20,000. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t go into debt, so this will take a while,\u201d Charlie said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the meantime, Angela uses her mobile kitchen unit to prepare food and will spend the next year slowing adding seating and kitchen capacity to the new location as funds become available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Flooring Solutions side of the business is currently being renovated and Charlie said they expect to reopen their storefront by the end of January.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-post-author\"><div class=\"wp-block-post-author__avatar\"><img alt='' src='https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/0ef3a7e55ba99bda069d443fea0921690b643d41c7e6bf1715798af869e4bb5e?s=48&#038;d=mm&#038;r=g' srcset='https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/0ef3a7e55ba99bda069d443fea0921690b643d41c7e6bf1715798af869e4bb5e?s=96&#038;d=mm&#038;r=g 2x' class='avatar avatar-48 photo' height='48' width='48' \/><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-post-author__content\"><p class=\"wp-block-post-author__name\">Robert Berlin<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After suffering a major setback this year when the building where they launched both businesses was sold and began undergoing major renovations, Angela and Charlie Lambert moved both Southern Pies &amp; Bake Shop Cafe and Flooring Solutions to their new location at&nbsp; 1116 and 1118 E.
